Helen Cottrill
Incoming Programme Director & Lead Tutor
Helen has been part of the Therapist to Coach programme team since 2020 and will take over as Programme Director and Lead Tutor from founder Dr Trish Turner, starting with the January 2027 cohort. She is an EMCC Global Senior Practitioner coach with a background in education and leadership, and an external verifier for EMCC Global accredited coach training programmes. She is also a contributing author to Therapist to Coach (2026), writing about measuring the impact of coaching.
Dr Charlotte Merriman
Associate Tutor
Charlotte is a Clinical Psychologist, EMCC Global Senior Practitioner Coach and Therapist to Coach graduate, with extensive experience in clinical and leadership roles in the NHS. She is a Clinical Tutor and teacher on the University of Sheffield Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and runs her own private psychology and coaching practice with her husband, Mike.
Dr Mike Heaver
Associate Tutor
Mike is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist, EMCC Global Senior Practitioner Coach and accredited Supervisor, and a Therapist to Coach graduate. He has extensive experience in clinical leadership roles, organisational development, research and evaluation. He currently coaches in the NHS and a number of other organisations, and runs a private coaching practice with his wife, Charlotte.
Sophie Leach
Associate Tutor
Sophie is an EMCC Global Senior Practitioner Coach and a Therapist to Coach graduate. She studied Psychology and has a background in teaching, and now runs a private therapy and coaching practice.
Katherine Long
External Supervisor
Katherine is a master coach, taught a university masters coaching programme and is an accredited supervisor. She is also a Gendlin Focusing teacher and a specialist in organisational learning and development.
Dr Nicky Williams
External Assessor
Nicky is a Chartered Coaching Psychologist, executive coach, accredited supervisor, trainer and leadership development facilitator. She has had a long career in leadership roles in the health service.
